Angola: Judge Joel Leonardo puts family members on the list of houses for judges

The President of the Supreme Court, Joel Leonardo put the names of members of his family on a list of employees of this institution who will receive apartments in the new building that is on the perimeter of the citadela Desportiva, in Luanda.

The apartment distribution process is being marked by favoritism criteria. According to findings, the Supreme Court placed Judge Joel Leonardo, a function house in the “Boavida” condominium, in Luanda, at the disposal of the city, but even so, he put his name on the list again to obtain an apartment in the citadela. His name is number one on the list.

Joel Leonardo, as found out by FMFWorld.Org, also included in the list of houses, the name of a son, Vanúr de Abreu Isaú Leonardo, as well as that of his son-in-law, married to his daughter, Amélia Jumbila Isaú Leonardo Machado.

In addition to his son, he also added a nephew, João Fernando Apolinário. Both son Vanúr Leonardo and nephew João Apolinário, work in Joel Leonardo’s office with the category of the 3-class average technician.

The nephew João Apolinário is married to Irina Apolinário, a former Banco de Fomento Angola (BFA) employee who now serves as General Secretary in the office of the Supreme Court.

Although these relatives of Joel Leonardo work in the Supreme Court, they should not be included in the lists, since the referred apartments are exclusively for judges. None of the benefited family members is part of the judiciary.
