Angola: Government demarcates itself from involvement in US elections

The Auxiliary bodies of the President of the Republic demarcate themselves from the alleged involvement of Leandro Pascoal Paulino, his former employee, in the campaign for the presidential elections in the United States of America (USA).

In an Announcement, released this Thursday, the Auxiliary bodies of the President of the Republic emphasize that the former employee participates in the referred campaign, as a mobilizer of international support through digital platforms.

“The Auxiliary bodies of the President of the Republic clearly distinguish themselves from this involvement, from the possible effects resulting from it and from other actions eventually taken that may involve the institutions representing the Angolan State”, reads in the Announcement.

The document warns the public that the Auxiliary bodies of the President of the Republic do not assume any responsibility for any contacts and commitments assumed by the citizen concerned with national and foreign institutions, companies and individuals.
