Angola: Joaquim Nafoia defends investigation of MPLA business group

When analyzing the fight against corruption, Joaquim Nafoia said he did not believe in the ongoing process, stressing that he will only believe in fighting corruption when the justice bodies open an investigation to the Sagrada Esperança Foundation, GEFI and institutions of great importance in the country’s economy.

“I am going to believe in fighting corruption when the justice system takes over the Sagrada Esperança Foundation, which I consider the den of corruption, begins to be investigated, and when the conglomerate of MPLA companies, GEFI begins to be investigated,” he said. the parliamentary.

According to the Deputy, “Until GEFI is investigated, as long as the Sagrada Esperança Foundation is not investigated. As long as there is no audit of the public debt, as long as there is no audit of Sonangol, Banco BESA, BCI, ENDIAMA, the Development Bank, there is practically no fight ”.

“Only when there is a serious investigation and Commissions of Inquiry to these institutions, there we will come to the conclusion that there is a fight against corruption”, said the people’s representative in the House of Laws.
