IURD Angola: Brazilian wing says INAR has no legitimacy to decide on leadership

The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (IURD), through its legitimate representatives, communicates to its members, volunteers, and civil society in general that, it became aware of the disclosure through the social networks, of the Official Letter No. 219 / GDG-INAR / 2020, of December 17, 2020

According to a press release from the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (IURD), the letter issued by the National Institute of Religious Affairs (INAR), under which this entity decided, by default, to confirm the alleged legitimacy of the group’s representative The so-called reform committee of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (IURD) is yet another action to attempt to take control of the institution, by illegitimate means and acts with hidden objectives and interests.

The same note, this Tuesday, 22, states that, in view of the perplexity and gravity that the content of the said Office causes, the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (IURD), communicates to everyone that it does not know, what were the elements and interests that really served as the basis for that decision.

“If it is confirmed that Official Letter No. 219 / GDG-INAR / 2020 was in fact issued by the National Institute of Religious Affairs (INAR), such a decision signed by the current Director-General fails to depart and contradict the rules that establish their own competence. Established by Presidential Decree No. 237/19, of 29 July ”, as can be read.

According to the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (IURD), in addition to the lack of legitimacy of the National Institute of Religious Affairs (INAR) to make that decision, it must be made public that the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God and its representatives, in no moment it was heard, notified, communicated or heard but inexplicably, the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (IURD) was kept on the sidelines and removed from the referred process.

It also says that, through this decision, the National Institute of Religious Affairs (INAR) intervenes in matters for which it is not legitimate, eventually entering the field of action of other State Agencies, such as the Judicial Courts.

“By sentences issued by the Benguela District Courts, case No. 68/20 Huambo case No. 136/20 and Lunda Norte case No. 676-C / 20, was proven to the legitimacy of the current representatives of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (IURD) Angola, having even acknowledged the criminal acts committed by members of the aforementioned “reform commission” where they were condemned to return the properties they had invaded through violence ”, he reveals.

As a result of the above, the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (IURD) affirms that it has already instructed its legal department to take measures and reactions with the Law Authorities, against yet another attack that they have suffered.

However, that institution reiterates, once again, its confidence in justice, “because it is written: Perhaps God will not do full justice to his chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night, even though it seems to be slow to answer them. them? Luke 18: 7 ”.
